Beautification

We are passionate about improving and beautifying our area of Houston. 

2022 Accomplishments:

  • Adopted the two esplanades just north of Leeshire and the three south of Leeshire through the City of Houston Adopt-An-Esplanade Program
  • Launched monthly “Stella Link Sweep” clean-up events to pick-up trash along the Stella Link corridor between South Braeswood and 610 – see 2023 schedule below
  • Removed 100+ stakes from 35+ trees planted in neighborhood after 2019 street reconstruction
  • Started tree planting along Stella Link esplanades: planted four White Oak, three Bald Cypress, two Sweetgum, and also recently seven Loblolly Pine trees 
  • Installed new Woodshire subdivision signs at Latma and Leeshire entrances 

2023 Goals:

  • Finalize tree planting on Stella Link esplanades
  • Install Woodshire subdivision monument sign on one of our Stella Link esplanades  
  • Unify Stella Link and Latma entrance and detract from eyesore AT&T utility boxes with  landscaping/screening 
  • Organize  community service projects where Woodshire residents help each other with targeted beautification improvements in the neighborhood
  • Help plant trees for neighbors who request assistance

2023 Stella Link Sweep Schedule

Stella Link Sweep is a monthly trash clean-up along Stella Link between South Braeswood and 610

***Second Saturday of each month from 9AM – 10AM CT or until all the trash is picked-up! Initially meet at Stella Link and Latma, or join in where you’d like along Stella Link between South Braeswood and 610***
